Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary is located at the center of the mangrove forest along the coastal land near Samawang Village in Labuk Bay, Sandakan, Sabah. It is 38km away from the airport of Sandakan and takes about an hour to get there. Besides observing the monkeys, visitors are able to bird-watch on the observation platform provided. Rare birds such as the Oriental Pied Hornbills are often spotted among the dense mangrove forest (http://www.proboscis.cc/).

Endemic Proboscis Monkey
This picture was taken using Nikon D70s camera. I sold the camera to my friend, Mr. Mohd Hanim just a few week ago. I'm in a process of buying Canon 40D and hopefully to get it in the first week of January 2009. Hey Hanim, that a good camera man. You won't regreat having it.

Becoming a bolgger
This is my first try becoming a blogger. Sharing my interest in photography especially in the beautiful Sabah known in Malaysia as the land below the wind. I also included pictures of Borneo such Sarawak, the birth place of my beloved wife. Above are picture taken for the top of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia.
